Occurrence of a Flamingo at Tomales Bay.
Wheeler RJ. 1970. Occurrence of a Flamingo at Tomales Bay.. California Fish and Game. 56:209-210
From Body Text: On November 27, 1966, James R. Stone and four companions observed a flamingo (Phoenicopterus ruber) approximately 1 mile northeast of Hog Island, Tomales Bay, Marin County, California… . Since captive flocks are often maintained in the San Francisco area it is likely that this bird was an escapee.
