Hydrology and climate modeling in the transboundary North Fork Flathead River system. Assess potential changes in hydrology and snowpack in the transboundary North Fork Flathead River watershed. The Water Flow and Balance Simulation MOdel is applied in conjunction with climate models (CanESM2/CanRSM4). Precitpitation is predicted to increase, with a corresponding increase in the timing and volume of snowmelt due to snowpack alteration. Portions of winter precip are predicted to fall as rain vs. snow; total stream discharge downstream will increase slightly. The streamflow regime will change from a nival-regime to a more complex pluvio-nival-regime.
