Great Smoky Mountains National Park Bufo americanus (American toad) presence observations
Colson T. 2015. Great Smoky Mountains National Park Bufo americanus (American toad) presence observations. Great Smoky Mountains National Park
These data represent discrete and predicted observations of Bufo americanus (American toad) within the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. These data are sourced from the All Taxa Biodiversity Database (ATBI). These data include a direct link to a geoJson file which interactively displays Bufo americanus (American toad) observation locations within the park; and a file archive containing output data from the Maxent model used to develop a prediction raster of where Bufo americanus (American toad) would likely be observed in the park. Species observations are extracted from the ATBI database and could represent several different species observation projects. The only data presented here is the name of the species and its observed location. Other data pertaining to these species is stored in the ATBI database. Species observations and environmental layers (https://irma.nps.gov/App/Reference/Search?SearchType=N&collectionId=1047#collectionName=MAXENT%20Input%20Environmental%20Layers) are supplied to the MAXENT model and the resulting output is included as one of this records holding locations, an archive (ZIP) file. This output contains the necessary data to analyze the predictive accuracy of the model which depicts the likely location of this species.
