Piñon Pine (Pinus edulis) Interannual Growth Monitoring

Haffey C. Piñon Pine (Pinus edulis) Interannual Growth Monitoring

Weekly measurements of 8 piñon pine (Pinus edulis) using dendrometer bands (small metal bands that record changes in circumference) in Bandelier National Monument from 1995 thru 2003. This period marked a significant period of drought that ultimately resulted in the death of all banded trees and corresponded with high mortality (>95%) of the mature piñon pine across the Pajarito Plateau including Bandelier National Monument.
