Bracewell J. 2014. Gulf Coast Network Land Use Report, San Antonio Missions National Historical Park Update, 201411. GULN
Project focused on informing San Antonio Missions National Historical Park about contacting adjacent landowners regarding acequia easement inspections. This project was created to to assist the SAAN private easement inspection program. It is a subset of all park easements showing only the locations of private easements (tracts), primarily located along the Espada Acequia, and part of the ownership data. Additional data on the tracts can be found in the park land files. GIS data regarinding landowners for this project was obtained from Bexar County Appraisal District. NPS Tracts maps were used to identify NPS tracts of interest. BCAD GIS was spatially joined to to NPS tracts to provide current owner and owner contact info. The resulting table was exported and used by the park to contact landowners regarding inspections. During the contact and inspection process, the table was edited based information gathered during inspections. The table provided here incorporates those final edits and is the current 'best understanding' regarding ownership of these inspection tracts. Also provided are two map products that illustrate land ownership along the Espada Acequia.
