A three-year study was conducted to determine the breeding status of American woodcock in the District in National Capital Parks –East. Surveys were scheduled to be conducted during the woodcock breeding display season in 2014. The main survey location, Kenilworth Park was closed for an extended period due to a police investigation. One woodcock was detected vocalizing at Poplar Point.
