Southern Plains Network Vital Signs Monitoring Plan - Appendices

Southern Plains Network. 2006. Southern Plains Network Vital Signs Monitoring Plan - Appendices. Natural Resource Report Series (Midwest and Intermountain Regions). National Park Service

This Monitoring Plan (Phase II Report) for the SOPN is the second phase of a three phase development process and includes updated material from the Phase I documents. The Phase I Vital Signs Monitoring Report included: 1) monitoring goals and the planning process used to develop the monitoring program; 2) summaries of existing information concerning park natural resources and resource management issues across the network; 3) a conceptual model framework for SOPN park ecosystems; and 4) descriptions of the prioritization and selection processes for vital signs. This report adds to those previous efforts and describes our plan for implementing long-term monitoring of natural resources in the network parks.
