Surveying the nocturnal moths of the Presidio of San Francisco

Young JS. 2015. Surveying the nocturnal moths of the Presidio of San Francisco

Two separate sampling nights occurred at two sites within the Presidio. These two surveys were far from comprehensive, limited to brief snap shots in time. More intensive surveys would likely produce more diversity and would also allow for the sampling of more habitats. Though the samples are still being processed at least 56 species were identified. Of which, several where new records to the Presidio and some even to the county of San Francisco and GGNRA.
