Homestead National Monument of America FFI Fire Effects Monitoring Data
Leis S. 2015. Homestead National Monument of America FFI Fire Effects Monitoring Data
Fire effects monitoring data collected at Homestead National Monument of America Beatrice, NE. The data were collected during spring, summer, and fall field seasons by the fire effects monitoring crew out of Wilson's Creek National Battlefield from 2009- 2015. The HOME FFI database primarily contains fuels monitoring and fire severity data. Data refer exclusively to grassland monitoring plots. Data were collected from 50 x 20 m plots. Grassland protocols focus on the two 50 m transects per plot. The published protocol (Leis et. al. 2011) can be found on the HTLN websitehttp://science.nature.nps.gov/im/units/htln/library/Vegetation/PlantComm/PlantCom_2009_p.pdf.
