Fire effects monitoring data collected at Gateway National Recreation Area in New York. The data were collected during the summer field season of 2014 by the fire effects monitoring crew based in Shenandoah National Park. Data include information collected from grassland rapid assessment plots. Data collected from the 20-meter circular grassland plots include ocular cover values for most abundant woody species, herbs, and graminoids. For each plot, photographs were taken in each cardinal direction from the plot center.
