Digital Aerial Solutions, Gulf Island Imagery, Field Work Description. Research Permit and Reporting System
Field work took place on the islands between January 16th-19th of 2015. Pre-fabricated L-shaped targets w/ 4 foot legs were setup on 1/16 & 1/17 at each GPS location. Water bags filled with sea water were placed on each corner to hold down the target (minimally invasive technique pre-approved by members of NPS & USGS). Each GPS location was chosen to avoid problem areas, easy access, and optimal visibility during an aerial survey (1/18). All materials were completely removed on 1/19.
