Effect of Human Disturbance on Snowy Plover Behavior, Habitat Selection, and Reproductive Success. Research Permit and Reporting System
We studied human disturbance to Snowy Plovers Snowy Plovers. At high disturbance sites, daily nest survival and chick survival rates were higher than at the lower disturbance sites due to intensive management. It seems possible for snowy plovers to hatch nests and fledge chicks at high rates even at sites with very high levels of human recreation.
