Kloiber S and Rothauser B. A Survey of the Moths of Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. 2012-2014

The investigators conducted surveys from April-November 2014 to develop a moth checklist for Delaware Water Gap NRA. Approximately 89 hours were spent conducting 28 surveys at nine locations, which yielded ~2,277 specimens of 617 identified species from 37 moth families. Surveys were conducted using a combination of 1000 Watt and 400 Watt metal halide lights, a UV blacklight, and baiting. An additional 93 species were documented at a site just outside the park during nine surveys conducted from 2012-2013. These were recorded as “probably present".
