Restoration of the Everglades is a challenging process given the complexity and scale of ecosystem. The reddish egret (REEG) is one of the rarest egrets in North America, and occurs in Florida Bay (Everglades National Park). The reddish egret is an exclusively coastal resident; predicted increases in sea level may alter foraging grounds, leading to further negative consequences for this species.
