This project is part of a Great-Lakes wide USEPA-funded study that will provide base-line data for classifying and evaluating the quality of coastal wetlands. Two sites were sampled at Francis Point and Caribou Creek on Siskiwit Bay. Additional sites were proposed for sampling at the eastern end of the island, but logistical problems did not allow this.
