Conservation Status and Ecology of the Piebald Madtom, Noturus gladiator, a Species of Greatest Conservation Need in the State of Mississippi. Research Permit and Reporting System

Noturus gladiator is a species of greatest conservation concern in Mississippi due to perceived rarity and a lack of baseline distributional and biological information from which its vulnerability can be accurately assessed. The project outlined above will reduce the present information deficit and set a foundation from which to evaluate conservation status and establish a conservation strategy should it be needed.
