Author unknown. Fire Ecology Annual Report: 2010 Southern Plains Fire Group, 2011 Southern Plains, Permian & Southwest Texas Fire Groups
A summary of fire ecology activities and program information for the Park/network including fire effects plot workload, staffing, management objectives and monitoring results, and planning, fire monitoring, communications, and research. Also included are staff accomplishments/areas of focus, future program direction and other optional information (e.g. data analysis graphics or presentations, annual highlights, publications, program challenges, unique solutions to problems, collaboration, photographs of monitoring/fire activities, and suggestions on FFI). This is a report of the Southern Plains Fire Management Group (SPFG), Southwest Texas and Permian Fire effects monitoring that occurred over the 2010-2011 field seasons. Southwest Texas and Permian will be included in the 2011 section of the report. The Work conducted in the The work conducted over these two seasons mark a significant improvement over that which occurred in the previous two field seasons. This is due largely to affective field leadership provided by Tyler Engle and the crews that was recruited by the lead monitor Natalie Robison. The failure of producing the 2010 and 2011 reports falls on the Fire Ecologist Richard Gatewood who is seeking to bring the program in to compliance.
