Assessment of the Fungi species of Yellowstone National Park. Little is known about the fungi in Yellowstone National Park and the Park is seeking information on the current knowledge of fungi. This report summarizes the database of fungi collected in the park from 1885 to 2010 developed for this project. The database was developed from relevant literature and herbarium collections. Some fungi without voucher specimens reported from the park in scientific papers are included in the database without voucher information. Abbreviations (codes) used in the database are in a separate queries and are included in the hard-copy of the report. In addition to summarizing the database, the final report includes recommendations for a future inventory of fungi in Yellowstone National Park. An article titled “What do we know about Fungi in Yellowstone National Park” will be submitted to Yellowstone Science.
