The Arborist Webinars were prepared by the Olmsted Center for Landscape Preservation as a monthly training series for National Park Service employees in tree care principles and practices. The sessions cover topics that include tree condition assessment, proper pruning techniques, and supplemental support systems. An optional assessment follows each webinar for individuals interested in further developing competencies in the specific webinar topic. Successful completion of each webinar will allow participants to obtain Continuing Education Credit Units (CEU) for professional certification through the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA). The Olmsted Center for Landscape Preservation Arborist Training Program (ATP) provides a field-based educational opportunity for NPS landscape maintenance employees to develop specialized skills in sustainable tree care. The program is designed to provide career development while building the capacity of parks and historic properties to maintain and preserve significant landscapes.
