Illumination correction and detailed land cover database descriptions for 1997 DU/BLM Yukon_Charley Rivers landcover map. In September of 1999, the AKSO requested GRS demonstrate capability of performing a solar illumination correction for the YUCH Landcover dataset, and develop modified land cover database descriptions using the corrected dataset. The illumination correction was to facilitate future image classification efforts and the detailed land cover descriptions were to enable more detailed data modeling, mapping, and analysis of the YUCH Landcover data by AKSO personnel. This analysis report documents these efforts.
