Revision of New World Species of the Shorefly Subgenus Allotrichoma Becker of the Genus Allotrichoma with Description of the Subgenus Neotrichoma (Diptera, Ephydridae, Hecamedini)

The New World species of the subgenera Allotrichoma and Neotrichoma (new subgenus) are revised. Eight new species are described: A. bifurcatum, A. dynatum, A. occidentale, A. robustum, A. sabroskyi, A. wallowa, A. baliops , and A. insulare. Within Allotrichoma, we recognize three subgenera of which one, Neotrichoma (type species: A. atrilabre), is newly described.
