Fewer than 31 species of the short-antennaed grasshopper family Acrididae were known from the park at the beginning of the ATBI (now at least 37) and 8 species of the family Tetrigidae. Crickets, katydids, and mantids were also documented, but it was not always possible to identify specimens. Later collecting trips expanded the range data for many of the known species within the park, but after 2006, stopped adding new species.
