Vegetation population changes in high-elevation beech forests of Great Smoky Mountains National Park

Vandermast D. 2015. Vegetation population changes in high-elevation beech forests of Great Smoky Mountains National Park. National Park Service

Changes over time (1985-2002) in size-specific mortality, regeneration, and measures of growth are reported for 11 late-successional high-elevation beech forests in the park. This involved remeasurement of plots established in the 1980s by the Uplands Biological Station, and measurements of hog exclosure plots.
