2015. ATBI (All Taxa Biodiversity Inventory) Fish Surveys in Great Smoky Mountains National Park
Surveys of 108 sites in 26 stream systems were completed from 2002-2003. Some notable observations included an adult sicklefin redhorse, Moxostoma sp.--undescribed species, in Deep Creek; Tennessee dace, Phoxinus tennesseensis, in Cane Creek; and fantail darters, Etheostoma flabellare, in Cane and Hesse Creeks. The redhorse is a new record for the Park; the dace and darter are new localities/stream system records.
