This project ran owl banding stations during fall migration at Peaceful Valley Ranch (PVR) in Theodore Roosevelt Nat. Park. A station consisted of an audiolure which broadcast owl calls surrounded by mist nets. In October 2015, banders caught 197 northern saw-whet owls (NSWO), 4 long-eared owls, and 3 E. screech-owls (EASO) in 26 nights of banding. Five NSWO and 1 EASO were already banded and came from North Dakota and Saskatchewan. PVR continues to be a major owl migration corridor.
