A summary of fire ecology activities and program information for the Park/network including fire effects plot workload, staffing, management objectives and monitoring results, and planning, fire monitoring, communications, and research. Also included are staff accomplishments/areas of focus, future program direction and other optional information (e.g. data analysis graphics or presentations, annual highlights, publications, program challenges, unique solutions to problems, collaboration, photographs of monitoring/fire activities, and suggestions on FFI). Based on data up through 2015 at OZAR; 1. In the glades, we are 90% certain there is a 41.8% increase in species richness by the second growing season after the second application of prescribed fire based on data from 21 plots. 2. In the glades, we are 90% certain there is a 73.3% increase in species richness based on the latest data from 21 plots having 2 or more prescribed fires. 3. In the dry woodlands, we are 90% certain there is a 57.7% increase in species richness by the second growing season after the second application of prescribed fire based on data from 19 plots. 4. In the dry woodlands, we are 90% certain there is a 90% increase in species richness based on the latest data from 19 plots having 2 or more prescribed fires. 5. In the moist woodlands, we are 80% certain there is a 47.4% increase in species richness by the second growing season after the second application of prescribed fire based on data from 14 plots. 6. In the moist woodlands, we are 80% certain there is a 70.8% increase in species richness based on the latest data from 14 plots having 2 or more prescribed fires.
