A detailed examination of subsistence activities carried out by people from the villages of Shishmaref, Brevig Mission, Teller, Wales, and Deering, Alaska. These communities are located near lands proposed for inclusion in the Bering Land Bridge National Preserve. The research was carried out in order to provide information on the extent and intensity of subsistence uses within the proposed area, and to provide information for sensitive management of the area.
