Qamani: Up the Coast, In My Mind, In My Heart

Fair SW and Ningeulook E. 1993. Qamani: Up the Coast, In My Mind, In My Heart. Eagle River, Alaska

This unpublished book-length ethnohistorical monograph by Susan W. Fair (with Edgar Ningeulook) was produced from fieldwork originally funded by the Shared Beringia Heritage Program and NSF as part of the One Man’s Heritage Project. Project lead Jeanne Schaaf submitted the manuscript to the University of Washington Press in 1995-96. Upon review, the press indicated that, while they were interested in publishing the work, the manuscript was too lengthy in its current state. Susan Fair was not able to make reductions to the text at that time and she has since passed away. Edgar Ningeulook has also passed away since the writing of the manuscript. Manuscript and related materials are stored in the NPS curatorial facility in Anchorage.
