ABSTRACT: Taxonomy and morphology of a new species of Hypocrea on Marasmius. Brittonia 28: 381-389. 1976.-A new species of Hypocrea, H. avellanea Rogerson & Carey, parasitizing Marasmius subnudus (Ellis) Peck, is described. The development of its imperfect state, perithecia, and asci was studied in culture and compared with that of previously studied species of Hypocrea, Hypomyces and Nectria.
