The August 2014 magnitude 6.0 earthquake near Napa, California, produced a large signal at the borehole strainmeter at the Marin Headlands. The maximum offset exceeded 0.2 parts per million and is much greater than the instrument's 0.001 resolution. The results of analyzing the strain data from the station in Marin and elsewhere in the SF Bay Area have been published in this journal article.
