The purpose of this Historic Structure Report (HSR) is to document the development, use, current physical condition and recommendation for treatment and use of the Snee Farm (Main House) historic structure, Barn and Crib Barn, located in Charles Pinckney National Historic Site at Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. The National Park Service will use this report to inform and guide the stew­ardship of these historic structures. The present study provides Management summary, Developmental History, Physical Description and Condition Assessment and Treatment and Use along with Bibliographic and Appendices A, B. appendix A includes HABS drawings for the Main House 1990, and Appendix B includes sketch drawings for Barn and Corn Crib. The part I, which is Developmental History, is organized into three sections that address in sequence the historical background and context of the locale, a chronology of development and use of the Snee Farm Main House, Barn and Corn Crib specifically, and a physical description of the exterior and interior on a room-by-room basis of the buildings. This last section also includes an assessment of condition and a listing of character-defining features. Part II evaluates treatment options and concludes with an “ultimate recommended treatment and use of the buildings.”
