The NPS Water Resources Division - Water Rights Branch (WRD-WRB) conducted a water rights assessment and determination of future consumptive needs to determine if existing water supply sources are adequate and to assist SAND in obtaining compliance with state rules that require the replacement of depletions from groundwater pumping. As a part of this assessment, the value and risk of the water supply at SAND was also evaluated. Recommendations and associated action items are summarized in Section 4.0 of this report.
