The North Bridge Unit is one of three discontinuous park units within Minute Man National Historical Park. The Unit is located eighteen miles northwest of Boston in Concord, Massachusetts and consists of 114.01 acres. The central landscape feature is the North Bridge. On April 19, 1775, colonial militia and minutemen engaged British Regulars at the North Bridge during the “first forcible resistance” to “British aggression,” the day that marked the beginning of the American Revolution.
