Building Conservation Associates, Inc. (BCA) has prepared a finishes analysis of cabins in the Elkmont Historic District. Now part of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the cabins are owned and operated by the National Park Service (NPS). The primary goal of the analysis is to identify the general chronology of finishes on the exterior of select cabins, with an emphasis on the front elevation of each cabin, to guide future restoration work.
