Deserts and mountains of North America's southwest were researched in March of 1989. Statistical interpretations were divided intro three sections. 1)Vegetation composition sampled at two desert sites and relationships between and within sites were analyzed. 2) Intra and inter-specific interactions of a desert grassland community were interpretated . 3) Energy budget data was collected for two species of desert shrub and energy budget components were compared.
