Ebey's Landing National Historical Reserve: Scope of Collection Statement

Cahill K. 2009. Ebey's Landing National Historical Reserve: Scope of Collection Statement. EBLA

The Ebey’s Landing National Historical Reserve (EBLA) museum and archival collections are currently comprised of twenty-two accessions ranging from archaeology collections to archival collections, fish specimens to herbarium collections. The archeology collections were assembled during National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) Section 106 compliance for stabilization of three historic buildings owned and maintained by the National Park Service. Subsequent research in natural history disciplines produced a vascular plant voucher collection and fish wet specimens. In the field of cultural resources, archival collections include park management documentation, photographs, and oral histories. Since many projects documenting the resources within the Reserve are expected to begin within the next five years, the Reserve’s collection is likely to grow.
