The Ephemeroptera, Odonata, Plecoptera, Megaloptera, and Trichoptera of Shiloh National Military Park

Parker CR. 2015. The Ephemeroptera, Odonata, Plecoptera, Megaloptera, and Trichoptera of Shiloh National Military Park

The U.S. Geological Survey conducted an inventory of aquatic insects of the orders Ephemeroptera (mayflies), Odonata (dragonflies, damselflies), Plecoptera (stoneflies), Megaloptera (fishflies, dobsonflies, and hellgrammites), and Trichoptera (caddisflies) (the EOPMT taxa) in Shiloh National Military Park (SHIL) from 2005 to 2007. Also included are data from surveys conducted by Laurie Hart in 1996. This inventory is part of a broader survey of the EOPMT faunas of the 18 parks in the Cumberland Piedmont and the Appalachian Highlands monitoring networks of the National Park Service (NPS) Southeast Region. Standard aquatic sampling techniques supplemented with light-trap sampling were used to investigate the fauna.
