Visit by David Rockefeller, Sr. to the Acadia National Park Collections at Park Headquarters
Miller-Rushing A and Manski D. 2014. Visit by David Rockefeller, Sr. to the Acadia National Park Collections at Park Headquarters
From document: "Mr. Rockefeller was accompanied by two other people. From the park, David Manski (Acting Deputy Superintendent), Becky ColeWill (Chief of Resource Management), and Abe Miller-Rushing (Science Coordinator) led the meeting. Emma Albee (Schoodic Institute Science Information and Communication Manager) and Kate Pontbriand (NPS Museum Technician), who work in the Park Collections were also around for much of the meeting. The purpose of the visit was to show Mr. Rockefeller our insect collection and to talk about our ongoing work to inventory insects in our bioblitz program using citizen scientists. We also discussed our ongoing work to catalog and curate the specimens and partnerships with the Maine Entomological Society, Maine Forest Service, and Universities of Maine and New Hampshire in running the blitzes and identifying specimens."
