Prescribed Fire Research in Maidens Gum (Eucalyptus globulus)

Thomas T and Oswald W. Prescribed Fire Research in Maidens Gum (Eucalyptus globulus)

Eucalyptus globulus is a wide—spread exotic tree species in Mann County. The purpose of this research is to see the extent to which prescribed fire can be used to reduce fuel loads and eliminate encroachment of eucalyptus into native habitats. This research demonstrated fuel load reductions, displayed that one burn would not generally reduce encroachment and enabled refinement of the eucalyptus fire prescription.
