2003-2006. Field data for the Vegetation Mapping Inventory Project of Sagamore Hill National Historic Site
This reference is an assemblage of field data collected as part the baseline vegetation inventory for the park unit. Typical files here are vegetation plot data, accuracy assessment data, field photos, PDF showing locations of vegetation plots and accuracy assessment data, and other data for this type. All vegetation plot sampling followed the USGS/NPS Vegetation Mapping Program and NY Natural Heritage protocols. Therefore, at least three polygons of each vegetation cover type were selected for sampling. Within each polygon selected for sampling, a plot was established in an area that most represents the existing vegetation association. Plot sampling was conducted on September 16 and 17, 2003. A total of 20 AA destination points were generated prior to conducting field sampling in 2006.
