This reference is an assemblage of field data collected as part the baseline vegetation inventory for the park unit. Typical files here are vegetation plot data, accuracy assessment data, field photos, PDF showing locations of vegetation plots and accuracy assessment data, and other data for this type. Ecologists from VADNH conducted field data collection in Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania National Military Park in May through August of 2002–2005. The objectives of the fieldwork were to evaluate the formation-level line work and to collect information to help attribute and edit the line work to reflect the alliance level of the USNVC. Additionally, detailed quantitative data from the least disturbed areas of the park were needed to augment data available for a regional vegetation classification.
