The report provides guidance and recommendations regarding the conservation and management of Rio Grande cutthroat trout and their habitat in Bandelier National Monument (BAND). While the scope of TAR was focused on the recovery of the Rito de los Frijoles, there is little that should be done to promote fish habitat other than let the stream heal naturally with as little active management as possible. However, there are many other issues that BAND will need to consider in order to introduce, protect and manage future RGCT populations within the park. Accordingly, the TAR response is somewhat broader in scope that the original TAR, but provides a summary of the technical and policy issues that the park should consider in the future, and initial NRSS recommendations on how the park might choose to proceed.
