The fall crane fly fauna was seen to be less diverse than the spring fauna and show low beta diversity among sites, indicating high faunal similarity between sampling locals. Researcher identified all craneflies from three years of collection at Twin Creeks using malaise traps; researcher found no new species in the third year, producing an estimate of 80-90 species total at this site. Efforts were made in 2005 to sample around seeps, springs, and other poorly collected sites. One undescribed species, Achyrolimonia n.s., was collected in Greenbriar Cove and represents a new genus record for the Nearctic region.
