The following is part of an interim report on research efforts by the California Cooperative Fishery Research Unit at Humboldt State University to determine the effects of habitat quality on Coho salmon (Onchorhynchw kisutch) survival rates in northern California coastal streams. Research objectives include abundance, distribution and survival estimates of juvenile coho salmon in Prairie, Streelow, and Boyes Creek, all located within Redwood National and State Park.
