Carrying Capacity and Limiting Habitat Analysis for Coho Salmon (Oncorhynchus kisutch) in Streams of Northwestern California
Manning DJ. 2001. Carrying Capacity and Limiting Habitat Analysis for Coho Salmon (Oncorhynchus kisutch) in Streams of Northwestern California. Humboldt State University
A portion of David Manning's thesis which discusses rehabilitation and restoration efforts surrounding diminished populations of Coho salmon. Diminishing numbers of Coho is partly because of limited juvenile production. This Thesis lays out a habitat model in five North coastal California streams using seasonal habitat and life history data to predict potential smolt yield and identify a habitat bottleneck.
