Spawning Population Estimates of King and Silver Salmon in Five North Coast Streams, California 1954

McCormick RB. 1954. Spawning Population Estimates of King and Silver Salmon in Five North Coast Streams, California 1954. California Department of Fish and Game

This report provides information on the numbers of salmon spawning in five small coastal streams. Information was acquired in the process of regular carcass recovery work in connection with the salmon marking program. First priority of this project was too cover as many streams as possible to effect maximum carcass recovery. In addition, redd counts, live fish counts, and other important field observations were recorded with the intent of making population estimates.
