Introduction: "The purpose of this biological assessment (BA) is to review the proposed Redwood National and State Parks (RNSP or “park”) actions, Streelow Creek Trail Improvements, Tall Trees Trail Reroute, and Strawberry Creek Restoration, in sufficient detail to determine if the proposed action may affect any non-anadromous endangered, threatened, or candidate species and/or their critical habitats. This biological assessment is prepared in accordance with legal requirements set forth under section 7 of the Endangered Species Act (19 U.S.C. 1536 (c), 50 CFR 402), and meets the criteria for informal consultation with the United States Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS)."
