Excerpt: "This report summarizes 2015 Redwood National Park Fish and Wildlife Branch biological and physical monitoring activities in the Redwood Creek estuary. Monitoring has occurred in the Redwood Creek estuary since 1980. The purpose of estuary monitoring is to estimate fish population numbers and growth; record estuary water quality and water elevations; determine cross section changes; and document breaching incidents. The Redwood Creek estuary was monitored in Summer/Fall 2015. Four juvenile salmonid population estimates were conducted, the weeks of June 1, July 6, August 10, and September 14. Five growth estimates were conducted, four in conjunction with population estimates and one on October 28. Embankment water elevations were recorded every 15 minutes from May 13 to November 18. A temperature logger recorded water temperature in the embankment every hour from June 4 through October 28. The five estuary cross sections were surveyed on June 8."
