Excerpt:"This report summarizes 2014 Redwood National Park Fish and Wildlife Branch biological and physical monitoring activities in the Redwood Creek estuary. Monitoring has occurred in the Redwood Creek estuary since 1980. The purpose of the estuary monitoring is to estimate fish population numbers and growth; record estuary water quality and water elevations; determine cross section changes; and document breaching incidents. The Redwood Creek estuary was monitored in summer/fall/winter 2014. Four combined population and growth estimates were conducted the weeks of June 9, July 15, August 18, and September 15. Embayment water elevations were monitored from June 16 to November 6. A temperature logger recorded water temperature in the embayment every hour from June 12 through October 7. During the summer/fall of 2014 five salmonid species were seined in the Redwood Creek embayment; chinook, coho, and pink salmon, and steelhead and coastal cutthroat trout"
