2004 Redwood Creek Summer Steelhead Trout Survey

Anderson D. 2004. 2004 Redwood Creek Summer Steelhead Trout Survey. Redwood National and State Parks

Excerpt: "Year 2004 was the 24th consecutive summer steelhead trout survey of Redwood Creek, the first being 1981. Fifteen live and one dead adult summer steelhead, five ‘half-pounder’ steelhead (smaller immature sea-run steelhead returning after less than one year in the ocean), and 127 coastal cutthroat trout were observed in a mainstem survey reach from Lacks Creek to just downstream of Hayes Creek. The survey reach began at Stover Ranch and proceeded downstream through Green Diamond Resource Company (formerly called Simpson Timber Company) lands into Redwood National and State Parks land."
